Yet again, it’s been a few months since my last update… and yet again, I had started something that I quickly put down and abandoned.
Last update, I had picked back up Animal Crossing. I event went so far to build a small app/database to track my villagers, pull in information about them from the Animal Crossing Wiki page, and build some automation around birthdays. I built WordPress short codes and APIs to display villager information via a page within the blog. I was pretty happy with that.
However, for my birthday, Carlos got me a Switch 2 and Pokopia. So of course I immediately shifted focus there. I’ve really enjoyed playing Pokopia as it has a ton of QoL updates from Animal Crossing, and a small mix of Minecraft. I beat the game, and now I’m stuck again trying to decide how to build out the different areas, and finish getting all the Pokemon. I look on reddit and instagram, and see all these polished builds and realize how I’m not as creative as I wish I were. It makes me sad – lol.
Anyway, started tinkering with a different blogging platform, but quickly grew aggravated with it. Sometimes I feel WordPress has too much overhead, and I really long for simple blogs like LiveJournal. I don’t have the patience to try and build what I want via a custom theme and all the components, so I end up just making do.
Oh well… just been in a blah mood lately. No desire to do much of anything. Hopefully I’ll snap out of it soon.
